FFdshow Performance with my First HTPC (Dual-Core Update)

I decided to upgrade my first HTPCâ€™s processor from AMDâ€™s Athlon 64 3500+ to the dual-core 4200+ version. I was hoping to see some significant performance increases especially with DVD upscaling using FFdshow. I was not disappointed as my CPU processing load dropped from 60-70 percent usage to 40-45 percent usage while upscaling a DVD. One core was only used which allowes the other core to process other tasks such recording TV shows or transferring files. In the end, not to bad of a performance increase for a mere $70 upgrade. My ffdshow settings are shown here while my upgraded HTPC specs are shown below:

AMDâ€™s Athlon 64 4200+ CPU (2.2 GHz, dual-core)
ATIâ€™s Radeon X800 Pro video card
Asus A8V Deluxe motherboard
512MB DDR400 RAM (x2)

Am I dumb as a rock or these sites are so confusing

Maybe I’m so used to the normal forums format, but I can’t find my way around these 4-5 HTN related web sites.Â I stumbled upon the information about HTN project, and got so excited, but I can’t find the Download link anywhere.

Everywhere I clicked, it took me to either another site, or a page with just equipment information, no where to be found is the software itself, or a community forum to discuss pros and cons, or bugs report,…. or even how to setup.

Why is there a need for multiple sites? would it be simpler to find information on a single site with multiple sub-forums?

Please help, I’m lost.
